Do you
want an interesting career? Then become a
Chartered Engineer,
an
Incorporated Engineer
or
an
Engineering Technician
involved in design and construction.
To become a
Chartered Engineer, you'll need an accredited 4-year
MEng degree and a minimum of three years' practical
experience with an engineering company.
To become
an Incorporated Engineer, you'll need an accredited
Bachelors’ degree and a minimum of three years'
practical experience with an engineering company.
To become
an Engineering Technician, you will need typically HNC
or HND, or NVQ level 3 plus practical experience with an
engineering company.
There is
also a route to a professional engineering status, aimed
at those with a number of years’ experience, but without
the recognised academic base. Depending on the actual
level of academic qualification, the number of years
required will vary from 15 years if someone has no
qualification to a lesser amount if some qualifications
