The Severn Bridges Visitor Centre is now closed

The Severn Bridges Trust will continue to provide information via this website as a means of carrying out the Trust's objectives.  The Trust has produced an historical record that charts the development of the crucial transport links between the South West of England and the South of Wales.

The websites are sources of educational information on the Severn Bridges (including their history, information on traffic conditions, tolls and the local weather), bridges generally, engineering, designers, constructors, the local environment, engineering careers and much more.

Car parking is available at the location of the former Visitor Centre for those taking the spectacular walk along the estuary.  It is a very short distance from the public footpath and cycle route along the Binn Wall, which affords excellent views of the bridges.

Are you a Design and Technology teacher looking for inspiration on civil or structural engineering for school projects?  Are you a pupil wanting to learn about careers in engineering?
